Tuning
Tuning your piano is essential to maintaining this complicated instrument. It should be done at regular intervals to keep your piano at its best both structurally and musically.

If your piano is new, it is recommended to tune it more often in the first year or two to build a stable tuning environment and keep it sounding its best.

If your piano has not been tuned in a long time (two years or more), it will probably require a series of tunings known as a "pitch raise" to bring the instrument back to proper pitch and create stability.

When coming to service your instrument for the first time, I allow a bit of extra time with you and with the instrument to understand how it is used, its condition and to formulate a plan to best maintain the piano for the enjoyment of its users.
